Double Helix Challenge is a multilevel Biology competition among middle school and high school students, which helps accelerate the Biology learning from early stages and collaborate students with educators and industry professionals.
Students can participate individually or form a team of two students. You have the option to play singles or doubles.
Double Helix Junior engages student’s grade level 7-9. An exceptional 6th grader can join the team with teacher’s recommendation.
Double Helix Senior engages student’s grade level 10-12. An exceptional 9th grader can join the team with teacher’s recommendation.
Challenge material will be sent to the participating school teacher and students individually take the test administered by the teacher.
The students who qualify at the school level will advance to the state level competition. The winning team from each state challenge will advance to the national level.
The state winners will be recognized and participate in an on-site competition in Boston, MA, where they are evaluated onsite by a panel of judges through various level of competitions. The top teams receive prizes and recognition.
